Meals & Reimbursement Guidelines (Effective 01 April 2013)

Effective 01 Apr 2013, employees traveling on system business will be entitled to reimbursement for meals and incidentals (M&IE) as published by the U.S. General Services Administration.

Rates can be located at the GSA website www.gsa.gov/perdiem.  Once the rate tier is determined, the breakdown of M&IE can be found at www.gsa.gov/mie. Please note that the M&IE tier is reduced to 75% on the first and last days of travel.  In addition, the M&IE tier must be adjusted for meals furnished to you or are part of your registration by deducting the appropriate amount reflected in the breakdown of meals chart.  For meals provided on the first day and last day of travel you must deduct the entire allocated meal cost from the decreased M&IE tier.

Employees may elect to select the default rate of $46 per day with applicable reductions for provided meals and/or first and last days of travel.
