Help Desk Tip of the Week:

Using the quick access menu

Right-click in the bottom-left corner (or hold down the Windows key and press X) for a text-based menu that provides easy access to lots of useful applets and features: Device Manager, Control Panel, Explorer, the Search dialog and more.

Lenovo Solution Center is a tool that monitors your system health and security. You can scan hardware, update software, and learn from hints and tips to achieve maximum performance for your system.  The default scan is once a month, if there is an issue you will receive an alert. Notify the schools System Tech and if needed they will contact Help Desk or submit a Work Order!!


 ·         General Organization Tips:


o   Bookmark frequently used web resources for easy access.


o   Create and manage to-do lists to stay focused on the tasks that need to be accomplished and make the most productive use of time.


o   Keep track of how you use time


o   Keep files and folders organized thoughtfully so that they can be easily located.

If you still have some questions or concerns, please note the following tips to assist you:

Email/Network Access - Click here for information on obtaining Network logon credentials, email and Inow access.

New Email (OWA) - New email accounts should be accessed using the Outlook Office 365 platform. Once you sign in the 1st time and set up the account using your full email address, the site will then direct you to your inbox.  This email website is available from any computer where you have internet access (work or home). You may want to save this website in your favorites or create a shortcut on your desktop.     https://outlook.office.com

Network Connectivity - If you have any issues with the network connectivity, please check to see if it is an isolated instance, an area at your school or the entire school before it is reported, if possible.  This will assist the IT Department is resolving your issue as quickly as possible. Please call the HELP DESK if you are having wide area issues in your school.
