TIPS for the 2012-2013 year:
If you still have some questions or concerns, please note the following tips to assist you:
Email/Network Access - Any new personnel coming into the system should have completed the Email/Network Request Form and once your principal signs off on the form, it should be faxed to the number at the bottom of the form (6899) for processing. Due to the high number of request at this time of the year, we do ask for a 24 hour turn around time for this to be implemented. This will establish your username and password for the network, email and STI iNow if applicable. See Downloads under Information Technology and select the Email/Network Request Form.
New Email (OWA) - New email accounts should be accessed using the Outlook Web Application and you only need to put in your firstname.lastname in the user field. The generic password should be used the 1st time you sign in. Please check with your supervisor or your school office to get this information. Once you sign in the 1st time, then you should sign in with your username (firstname.lastname) and your password from then on. This email website is available from any computer where you have internet access (work or home). You may want to save this website in your favorites or create a shortcut on your desktop. https://webmail.hsv-k12.org/owa/auth/logon.aspx
STI INow Contact - Please note that each school has a trained STI iNow contact and should be available for questions on accessing the STI iNow product for our staff and parents. This person in your school will communicate to request the correct permissions for each user.
Teachers Gradebook - If you are a teacher and are setting up your Classroom Gradebook in STI, please contact the teacher that is the STI Gradebook representative for your school. Last spring each school sent a teacher to STI Classroom Gradebook Training and they were sent back to the school to implement a process for all the other teachers to be trained. This should have been completed for all teachers working in the last academic year in the spring of 2012. Any new teachers this year should get with the lead teacher at your school to obtain this information and to be trained.
Time Clocks - Office personnel: Please check your timeclocks to ensure all time has been reported. If you are not able to see all reported time, please submit a work order to have this looked into. As new employees begin work or transfers or made, please communicate that information with the Attendance Enterprise Administrator.
Network Connectivity - If you have any issues with the network connectivity, please check to see if it is an isolated instance, an area at your school or the entire school before it is reported, if possible. This will assist the IT Department is resolving your issue as quickly as possible. Please call the HELP DESK if you are having wide area issues in your school.
