Interactive Distance Learning Network

Through an exciting project funded by Polycom, and the Alabama Supercomputer Authority and directed by The Schools Foundation, students will be able to receive instruction at their local schools that will enhance and enrich their current curriculum and join them to a greater community of learners than ever before imagined. Each high school in Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County School Districts will have a classroom equipped with microphones, cameras, and television monitors for students to interact with the teacher and other students at remote site.

All Elementary and Middle Schools in Huntsville City Schools have access to portable distance learning videoconferencing equipment. Virtual Fieldtrips are conducted with locations around the world everyday! Below you will find a link to a database filled with adventures waiting to happen in your child's classroom.

EarlyWorks Hands On History Museum is a proud partner. Students will participate in videoconferences thoughout the year while learning history!
