Beautiful Jones Valley School is located on a hillside in Southeast Huntsville, Alabama overlooking scenic Jones' Farm. The school was established in the mid 1960's, but was rebuilt in 1990 following its destruction by a tornado November 15, 1989. Jones Valley school provides classes for grades K - 5. The school is 85,000 square feet, and sits on 21 acres of land. Jones Valley School has 545 students enrolled. Our class sizes in K -1 are under 20. Grades 2 and 3 have about 23 students; grades 4 and 5 have 24 students. We have Special Education classes and a large Gifted Education program. Jones Valley is proud of its many after school clubs, which include Chess Club, Student Council, Habitat Club, Math Club, Book Club, Geography Club, and our closed-circuit Jones Valley TV production staff. Our generous and very active PTA supports all our activities. We welcome parents to all our activities, and to join us for lunch any day. |
