Welcome to Grissom's Interactive Multimedia Design Web site. We hope you enjoy visiting as much as we enjoyed preparing the site.
Interactive Multimedia Design is an exciting new one-credit business course for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students offered for the first time at Grissom beginning with the 2003 school year.
This year's 2007-08 students have completed various projects utilizing skills learned in Photoshop, PowerPoint, Flash, ImageReady, HTML, Office XP, and Dreamweaver.
Prerequisites for the course are computer applications or business technology essentials. The class is application-oriented with hands-on project-based learning activities.
In addition to the above prerequisites, the only requirements for the course are good attendance, a willingness to learn, and an inquisitive, creative, and imaginative mindset.
While the ability to paint or draw may enhance one's personal satisfaction with the class, the course is NOT an art class. Some of our students plan to have careers in graphics design and Web technology and are taking the course to help get "grounded" in a future career. Others are taking the course for personal fulfillment.
Our teacher welcomes your comments and hopes other multimedia teachers will view our work and share ideas and methods in order to make the class even more exciting and challenging.
